DALLAS — Yailyn Gomez, 15, had to cancel her Quinceañero once the pandemic struck, a once-in-a-lifetime event for many Hispanic and Latinx girls. Gomez was sad over not having the father daughter dance, especially after her dad was hospitalized due to Covid-19.
The Dallas Arboretum held their annual Quinceañera Fashion Show on Saturday, September 12, 2020, and Gomez, along with dozens of other girls, strutted down the steps of the garden in their dresses.
